I bouth 535d 2014 with comfort seats and have same problem. Check to see if the seat is getting power. If it does, your seat module is most likely the problem. If it doesn't have power then it's either a fuse or a damaged wire somewhere between the fuse box and seat. The heated seats are controlled by the bus system so there’s no wires from the switch to the seats. The switches go to a module that activates the seat heater. The body control module operates the heated seats windows etc. it could be a bad module, short somewhere, or it could be a programming issue. I bought a Corbin seat and wired with the BMW plugs and it doesn't work either, so something with the bike and not the seats seems to be the direction things are pointing. I checked the voltage in the plug for the front and it shows 8.3 volts with the heat turned off in the menu and 10.3 volts with the heat turned on, regardless of setting.

E60 LCI Comfort Heated seat retrofit. As the title says I am trying to retrofit heated and comfort seats. I currently have basic electric seats ( no heat ) with memory. memory is only for the passenger. I found 20way comfort seats with heat and memory ( both driver and passenger) at a junk yard. I got the entire seat with modules.
The footwell module (FRM) is an electrical nodal point in the footwell on the drivers side. The footwell module picks up the signals from the doors and controls the lighting. The footwell module also controls the adaptive headlights. The footwell module is also the interface to the dashboard. The following components deliver signals for the
1. Black 8 pin plug, takes +12v and neg, it takes CAN_H and CAN_L (yellow and black) This will make the seats work in INPA. NOTE there is NO differance between the passanger seat and front driver seat modules, the passanger seat only has one additional negative that the drivers does not have. 2.
