The service book for my 2010 CR170 DSG is the same; there's no tick box for the DSG oil change on any of the service record pages. If you speak to SEAT UK they should be able to tell you about any work your car has had done at any of their dealers. As said £150 is good for the DSG oil change if they're using genuine VW oil as that's expensive
I doubt very much that VW would set the service interval to be anywhere more than 70% of the average lifespan in their own testing, and is much more likely to be closer to 50% given the high mileage numbers they're dealing with (there's a lot of variation in the amount of abuse that happens in 10 years/130k miles).
As soon as you notice that one’s illuminated, take your Volkswagen Jetta to Firestone Complete Auto Care so you can address any small problems long before they worsen. See the recommended maintenance schedule for your 2011 Volkswagen Jetta to see when you’re due for a battery check, oil change, A/C service, brake check, or tune-up.
Those DQ200 transmissions are tiny. The mechatronic unit uses a hydraulic fluid like a power steering fluid. I think the VW part number is G 004 000 M2. It's a Pentosin CHF 202 type of product and only takes about a liter. The gearbox uses gear oil. VW G 055 512 A2 which is a 75W-80 GL4 product. I think it takes about 2 liters.
Either way, it's advised that the transmission oil is changed at 40k so you're definitely due!! I had Audi do it last week for £169 and it feels much better now so would advise it. Current: Carless. Sold: Audi S5 3.0 TFSI Black Ed. (65) - Sepang Blue. Sold: Audi A5 2.0 TFSI Sport (09) - Phantom Black.
Hello VW fanatics, I was wondering how often you are servicing your DSGs. I have a MK7.5 w/ the 7 speed, and VW recommends 80k. I typically change my trans fluids every 30k for good measure on my previous vehicles. Or shorter with heavy use. Does anyone change their DSG in shorter intervals?
As a good rule of thumb 4 years 60,000 miles is an ideal time for filter service life. 4 years insures that you retain a 150% margin on embrittlement of the cellulose fibers and insures you don't get any cracking of the elements filter media.
My car is the 2015 Passat 2.0 TDI 190PS 6 speed DSG, its covered 95k miles and has full VW history from new and I've recently had the gearbox oil changed at VW also. The issues I'm having are: Whilst driving in a 30mph zone on a slight incline the car will change from 3rd to 4th then instantly back down to 3rs then up to 4th again.
DSG service schedule is 40k miles for mk7 6sp and 80k for 7.5 7sp. Mine had DSG oil change/service in Jul and it cost £199 (inc vat). Same price as is on VW main website. Ignition1 and Captjack. 1.
Here’s a brief overview of everything you need to know about regular maintenance for the 2017 Golf Alltrack. If you want your car to run as well as it can, then it’s imperative that you stay on top of this. Every 10,000 miles: Engine oil (change), engine oil filter (change), brake pads (check brake pad thickness and brake discs), windshield
Fill up all the way. Disconnect the pump or whatever means you are planning to use to push AT fluid up the drain plug. Check the temperature for the AT using the software. Start the car and wait for it to heat up to 40C. At that temperature fluid will be at the right density and excess will overflow out the drain.
AWD clutch: Change fluid (if equipped) Every 3 years Brake fluid: Change 3 years after registration and then every 2 years regardless of mileage Dust and pollen filter: Replace Every 40,000 miles or 2 years, whichever occurs first Every 3 yearsFront axle differential lock: Change fluid (if equipped)
The car now has 50,000 miles on the odometer. It was also purchased with the stated recommendation that the automatic transmission was a sealed unit, and never required fluid change. VW now has changed its recommended transmission fluid change period for my car from never to every 40,000 miles.
