TPMS Problem. I've got a late-2014 F31 Touring xDrive, RHD UK model, with the TPMS RDCi monitoring where it shows true pressure & temperature in the iDrive. 316i (2014) Bought new, Owned for 1 Year. Fuel Economy: 10.9 km/litre (9.2 L/100 km), RON95, Mileage: 1,000 km/month. Although the 316i only has a 1.6l turbo engine, it doesn't feel slow at all and the handling prowess of a BMW is evident in this model even at high speeds or twisty corners.
Oct 23, 2013. #20. My old E90 320d '06 was 145 000km before she died. And never had a turbo problem, she was stock. The only problem I can remember having with this car is the door actuators broke once. Which is a very common problem. And my radios screen started dyeing intermittently (sometimes it would be fine).
Before they would give you 3 year extension from the beginning of the manufacturer warranty or 100k miles, whichever comes first. Now they only extend it 2 years, but unlimited miles. Not worth the money to jump on a newer one just to have 2-3 year warranty.

Just listen out for rattles due to the cam chain or get it changed every 50k if you are paranoid. The 164bhp 2005-2007 320d has a small number of turbo failures, but not a terrifyingly high amount. This was the weaker Mitsubishi turbo also used in the E46 320d which suffered from the same thing.
Brand new 2014 F31 320d M sport. Purchased April 2014 delivered late July 2014 had the car for 3 days and not had it since. It's been in the shop with a steering rack problem ever since. I'd say reliability is poor. BMW delivered the car unfit for the road and have been unable so far to fix the car.
